I Am Living Eternally Right Now

Please remain standing for the reading of the Word. I would like you to read with me if you have your Bibles Psalm 138:1-3 “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame. When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.”
I invite all of you to lift your voices today, let’s praise Him. The Scripture says, “I will praise the Lord and bless You, because You have made me strong, by the power of Your Word.” Amen, let’s praise Him this morning.
Father, we thank You this morning, Hallelujah, together, in this building, Your house today. We lift up Your Name, we lift up Your Word, oh Lord, how great are Your Works, oh Lord. How great are your Works oh Lord. Father, we just say, “Who is like You oh Lord, there is no one, Hallelujah. So, Lord we just sing for joy today, we speak for joy, we declare joy, Lord. Oh God, no matter what happens in the world today, You are above it all, Hallelujah, all glory to the Name of Jesus, to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” In the name of the Lord, Amen. And He is here this morning. I like it, that He doesn’t go away at holiday time. He doesn’t go away and celebrate New Year’s somewhere else. But He just always is, and that is so wonderful, Amen. Amen, praise the Lord. Turn to someone and say, “I’m glad I know He is”.
And He is here this morning, He is the Waymaker, and if you need a miracle this morning, guess what? He is the God of miracles. Amen, He will make a way where there is no way. And I love that our God, never breaks a promise. I’m sure everyone in here this morning, you’ve probably broken a promise at some time. But He never does. Isn’t that wonderful? Amen, praise Him. What a God, what a God.

Main Service Message

Well, we are facing a new future. None of you have lived in 2024 before, I don’t think that any of you have been transported into the future yet. It doesn’t mean that God can’t do that, but I haven’t heard any of you tell me that. And here we don’t make New Year’s resolutions because most of us break them anyway. But I always think it’s wonderful, if you’re like me, I get a new Prayer and Devotional book every January. And I just love when I open it and that first page is blank. It’s like OK, I get to hear fresh things, new things from God, I love it, I get to write them down. And I very much impacted by the thought, that it’s not just a new year that we’re entering, but the Lord, as never before, wants us to think, and believe, ‘I am living eternally now. I am’. And the more we begin to understand that and not just say that, but to know it, the more it will begin to press into our spirits, that there are a lot of people we know and love even that are not living eternally now. And we want to begin to become the light in a very dark time.
Bottom line – I think every government in the world has failed its people in some form or manner. But the Government of God, the Kingdom of God, the Body of Christ, will never fail. We are already part of an unshakable Kingdom, Hallelujah. I’m so excited about that, and that’s my heart as we enter this new year, that whatever happens in the world, and I think if we just look with these eyes at the world, it’s going to look worse and worse. But when we fix our eyes on what is eternal, we will be filled with righteousness, joy, the Holy Spirit, His Holy Spirit enabling us to be more than conquerors. I know that you have heard this in many places, but I’m convinced in my spirit, that we are getting ready to see the greatest harvest of souls ever. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about that. I promise, I expect our doors to open, and people running in from the streets, ‘Tell me about this Jesus. I want to know about this Jesus because the world is going to fail, but there’s going to be something here that’s so powerful’.
The spiritual atmosphere is changing. We live in a divine moment. Basically, I’m going to tell each one of you, you are aliens. Hello! You are aliens. I like that, this is not my home, I’m an alien folks. You know, often an alien is someone who has left something unpleasant behind, to go to something very pleasant, Amen. I’m going to another country for a greater purpose, Hallelujah. In the Book of Hebrews it says, like Abraham, Moses and all those great people, if they had been mindful, if they had thought about where they came from, they might have gone back. But now, this morning, like them, we seek a better country, Hallelujah, whose builder and maker is God. Praise God.
So, good morning aliens, and we’re looking forward to sharing opportunities, that there’s a better place than this one. And by the way, while we declare there’s a better place, we make where we’re at, we’ll make it better too. Amen. Everybody, look at someone and frown. Have you been around someone that frowns all the time? And what kind of atmosphere are you in? Down, down, down, heavy, heavy. Have you ever been around someone that smiles all the time? Yes, sometimes they drive you crazy! Sometimes you wish they could quit smiling so much. But what does it do to the atmosphere in the room? The hands that hang down are lifted up. And so, hello aliens. We are aliens that come with a smile. Amen. For this year, and until we get to be with Jesus, ‘The joy of the Lord is our strength.’ And as the joy of the world begins to diminish, our joy, aliens, should increase, and increase, so, look to somebody and smile. I see you smiling Hallelujah.
Maybe, next week, pastor Brian is going to be preaching, and perhaps he’ll share some examples of the Biblical aliens. You need to see that you’re in great company. Now, I need to share a few Scriptures, I want to share a few Scriptures, not just need to. We won’t be too long, because we have a wonderful breakfast coming. We’ll read Isaiah 59: 14. We have a picture of people who have turned their backs on the Lord. I think it’s a picture of our world in society in general. “So, justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets,
honesty cannot enter.” Powerful Scripture.
We cannot be Christians in name only, we must be completely committed, when we say that we are Christian. I told pastor Brian yesterday, I was listening to a news report, and a woman who had transitioned into a man, went to the doctor because he wasn’t feeling well, and the he/she was pregnant. I literally saw the entire argument on TV, ‘I am a man, how can I be pregnant?’ The doctors continued to argue with this person, ‘Do you remember having sexual relations with another man before you became a man, when you were still a woman? That’s how you got pregnant. Yes, by now I’m a man, I can’t be pregnant!’ And the doctor finally said, ‘You may say you’re a man, but you’ve got all the working parts of a woman.’ And the reply was, ‘I can’t be pregnant, I’m a man.’
Truth has evaporated, the Scripture says, “It stumbled in the street.” So, the bottom line – we are aliens. We don’t live in the dark, we live in the light, and we’re being called, and some of you have got to grow up. Because some of the things you’re going to be faced with, demand that you speak the truth, that the world doesn’t want to hear.
Turn with me to Titus 2: 11-12, it’s near the end of the Bible, that’s why you need a paper Bible, it’s a little book. “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.” And why do we want to do this? Verse 13, “while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” Amen. You need to mark that verse in your Bible, it’s a good one. Aliens, we’re waiting for Jesus to come again, Amen! Because look what He did in verse 14, “who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.”
In Hebrews 10:24-25, “We are to encourage one another, to love and to do the works of God”. So, I want you to turn to somebody else and say, ‘I encourage you to love an do the works of God’. Amen. By the way do you know what it says in there, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Because He’s coming, Amen. And when we come together, we encourage each other, about that.
You might want to read 1 Peter 1: 13-21 this week, and it will tell you why we are called aliens. “Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at His coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.”
We’re just aliens here. In fact, in some translations in English, it uses the word ‘aliens.’ We are strangers in this world. Our citizenship is in heaven. Amen, so, we want to follow Him, He’s our example, and I challenge you to read the Book of 1 Peter, it’s small and easy to read. 2 Corinthians 5:6, says “For we live by faith, not by sight”. I live by faith in Him, Amen. So, aliens, we’ve got faith, Amen, faith! The world may think we’re crazy, and that’s OK, because we have faith in the word that’s coming after us. He’s coming to get us to live with Him forever, Amen.
So, sometimes, we worry too much, about what is going on in the world, but I think we aliens, need to start thinking about what is going on in the Word. Quit worrying about what’s happening in the world, and start worrying about what’s happening in the Word, because we love His Word. Because we love Him. I just want to speak the name of Jesus; I want Him to cover every thought. I want us to be so united, not a breath can get between us. That does not happen in the world, but in the Body of Christ, He’s working for that to happen among us, Amen.
So, aliens, we’re His light this year; we’re His joy this year; we’re His righteousness this year; we’re His peace this year.
We are people of the eternal. Let’s finish with Ephesians 1: 18-20, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly realms”.
His holy people are citizens of this world, but they are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. I pray today that the eyes of our hearts will be enlightened. Let’s quit looking at only what is in front of us. Let’s see further. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, who is already sitting in the throne room of heaven at the right hand of the Father. Can you picture that right now? I can! I can, can you see Him right now in the throne room, and the Bible says, He’s praying for you. That’s what the Bible says; not me. He is in the throne room and He’s praying for you. Why would I want to make this world greater than Him? We have to fix our eyes on Him. He is the God that is speaking to us now, to a world that needs Him.
I want to challenge you today, to live so close to Him, for us to be so full of His light, that we won’t be surprised, when every day someone stops and asks us, what’s different about you. And then we can share, ‘It’s Him’, that’s why I have peace, that’s why I have joy. And that’s why, even when my spirit gets heavy, I know I’ll get through it. Would you please stand. I believe all of us here believe Jesus is our Savior.
