God’s Power Flows

Passage: Ephesians 3:20-21; 2 Kings 4:2; 2 Kings 4:3; Matthew 7:7; Ephesians 3:20-21; 2 Kings 4:2-3
Service Type:

Pastor Gail
1. Good morning, everybody. It’s cold today. And for those of us here in Greece, it is cold. For those of you that perhaps are from northern places in America or in Europe, you might be swimming today but we will not. I think one of the best places to be always, especially when we want to warm our heart and our minds, is to be with the people of God, our family. Amen. Amen. To worship the Lord.
2. So, we’re very blessed to be here this morning. And I would invite you to stand with us. And we’re going to just lift the Lord up and we’re going to tell him you’ll take the high place. Lord, number one, Lord, be exalted.
3. Father let’s pray together. Father, we exalt you today. Father, Son and Spirit, how wonderful it is to be able to come together and to praise you, to let you know as we begin this day, we want to give you all the glory. You are our Creator. You’re our wonderful Lord. You’re our Savior. You are our ever-present guiding light. You are the Lord that overflows out of our life when we make you first. We invite you today into this space. It’s just a room but where you are. It is holy. Oh, Lord, we thank you for your presence today. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. Oh, we give you glory, Lord. Lord, we want to exalt you. Beyond anything else, we give thankfulness in the world. We want to give you, first of all, the glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen and amen. Amen. Hallelujah. That’s all right. You can clap your hands. Amen.
4. Turn to somebody and say, nothing is too hard for God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. You all look good today, praise God on this cold morning. Amen. The Lord is so wonderful, and today we’re here to give him blessing and honor. When you think about blessing the Lord, what do you think about it? He is great, he is love, he is the great God, amen.
5. When I teach, he is faithful, but when you think of blessing him, that is the same time. Don’t forget to say that like this, we are very comfortable relaxed churches, you probably already saw. Obedience, oh yeah, oh yeah. Give him honor, give him honor. Be faithful, be faithful. Serving others, yes.
6. Today, Lord, impress on our minds and our hearts, oh Lord. How to bless you, how to bless you, amen. There is a scripture, and so many people talk about it, we only have this one life, and soon it will end. Even if I have friends praying for me to live to 120, I’m not sure about that for me. But even if you stop and think about it, 120 is not really that long. So, what we do now is our opportunity before we see him face to face. To bless Him, to bless Him. As the Psalmist said, “Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, I bless his holy name, amen.” (Psalm 103:1)
7. We are in a season of prayer and fasting, and as we do, it makes us more aware of him. And we know that he’s able to do the impossible. I’d like to invite our prayer teams to come forward. If you’re here this morning, you know we haven’t been doing this every week, but I feel like the Lord really wants us to do this as we’re fasting and praying. If you’re here this morning and you want prayer for yourself or someone else, whatever it might be for, we invite you to come forward and let one of these two groups pray with you. Cecilia will be in the back. Come ahead, Julia, you can come ahead. Cecilia and Iroma, if you could go and be with Cecilia, there’s one more group in the back if you’d like to.
8. I have someone very close that the doctor has no idea how to heal this person. But God does. God knows how to heal. Amen. God does. He’s the Lord of the impossible. Mary has cancer in her eyes, and they say it’s one of the rarest cancers in the entire world. But God, but God, God does the impossible. We’re believing today, amen, and for Armand to rise up out of that wheelchair and walk for Fernando and Sunil. So, if you would like prayer this morning, we’re here, and there’s a group in the back, and we’ll pray with you. Victor, as you lead through this,
9. Sometimes don’t you just sense you can just… You know, he’s always here, but sometimes you just know he’s closer than usual. Or maybe you’re just a more aware of it. I’m going to invite you just to greet someone near you. Greet them with a blessing, with a blessing, with a blessing, greet them with a blessing. You may be seated; we have two people that are going to greet the congregation today.
10. Katerina is just going to come up and greet you and say goodbye for a little while. Just real short, we’re going to pray for you. Katerina is leaving. Oh, I will miss her joyful spirit. Amen, how about you? Joy has joy always. She worships the Lord so freely. I think she’s crazy in love with him. Yeah, amen. Me too, me too. I love it, I love it. Yeah, when I get to see people just share their love for Jesus.

Katerina
11. So, I just want to say, I’ve been so blessed having all of you the last four months. And I feel really blessed that I found you and all of you are worshiping the Lord in such a beautiful and gorgeous way. And being here, I feel like the Lord is here always next to each and every one of you as you worship. And so, even though I’ve only been here for 4 months, I want to say thank you for opening all your hearts and for allowing me to be here, so thank you.
12. So, I want to wish upon all of you, keep on walking with the Lord, keep on holding His hands, hold Him in your hearts, and keep on shining in that beautiful light of the Lord and of your own hearts to every single person you meet. And you might not always remember that, that you have that beautiful life, but you do. And I feel that every single time I come here, in the five years I’ve been here, you guys are the best thing I’ve had in Athens. And I’m really going to miss you guys.
13. And I just want to say one more thing. I know that sometimes, if you’re in a community for a long time, sometimes you might forget that there is this beautiful thing. I want you to know, all of you are beautiful, and your community is beautiful, and you deserve to go out there into the world and shine your light and share the Lord with the people, because you guys are amazing, and you show the world that being a Christian, that believing in the Lord is a gorgeous thing. So go out there and shine your light.

Pastor Gail
14. So, where you’re seated, would you just reach out your hand. Let’s pray to strengthen her. Wherever the Lord would lead her, that she will shine brighter and brighter. And he will send you to another family that will love her like we do, okay? So, let’s pray. Father, right now we pray an anointing on Katerina, Lord, an anointing that can only come from you. That, Lord, step by step you will guide her, Lord, that every step will be your direction, Lord. We pray that she’ll not look to the left nor to the right, but she will keep her eyes on you. Oh, Jesus, you are faithful. You are our wonderful shepherd, oh, Lord. We pray, oh, God, for the next community, God, that she joins with Lord, that they will love her as we do, Lord, that they will encourage her and help build her up in her most holy faith. We thank you for your assignments from heaven, that as long as we live, we know that what we do for you will last and count. And Katerina is living for you. She is a bright light for you. Lord, help us, God, to hear her words today. Help us to shine brighter and brighter in the name of Jesus. Amen, amen.
15. Isn’t the Lord good? And now we have Laura with the Praying Pelicans that’s going to give a great everybody that’s a pelican. Well, you’re not really a pelican. Would you raise your hand? All right. Isn’t it wonderful? I love it when the teams come. So nice to meet you.

Laura
16. So nice to meet you. Thank you. Thank you so much for having us. So, we come from the organization Praying Pelican Missions. And I know that you have invited a number of our groups into worship with you. And I just wanted to share with you the role that you play in these teams that come. So, Praying Pelican Missions sends out 11000 people a year to go and serve the church all over the world.
17. So, in Central America, South America, Cuba, all over the Caribbean and Greece, Poland, Kenya and many more. Our teams come and we partner with the local church. We believe that there’s something really special that God does in a community of believers.
18. And for the teams that come, I said that there’s 11000, half of them are under the age of 18. And sometimes in the United States we can sometimes get the feeling that we can do things on our own. And sometimes we see people leave the church and feel like maybe they don’t need this community around them. And when teams get to come, and they get to be a part of a church like this and see the work that God is doing through the local church. We’ve heard testimonies of people that go back home, and they stay connected to the local church.
19. That was my testimony. I went on a mission trip to Belize when I was 17 years old. And I went off to university that next year thinking, I don’t know that I’m going to continue with the church.
20. And God spoke through one person in Belize similar when I heard Katerina when you shared your heart just then it was a very similar spirit. And it compelled me when I went off to university to walk down the street and to go into the first church that I saw. And I was nervous, but I had faith that there’d be a community of believers that would receive me.
21. And my faith continued to grow there at that church. And so, when you say yes to teams coming and to be able to worship with you, you get to show them that same heart and that same spirit. So, on behalf of Praying Pelican Missions, thank you so much for this important work that you are doing around the world just by being who you are and who God created you to be. Thank you for having us and God bless you.

Pastor Gail
22. We’re getting ready for our offering. But I’m going to ask Stavros to do something. Stay on that slide, Eric. We want to give the Lord when we give to him and he’s first, stay back on the offering slide. Is that okay? This prayer one’s okay too. It’s a powerful thing. But I’m going to ask him with a prayer for the offering, to also pray for Iran. Mohammed and Sarah, if you’ll just raise your hands. We have two of our Iranians here with us today and we know Armand, of course, is crippled and can’t walk and be here, but we’re glad you’re here today.
23. I’m going to ask Stavros, because most of you know Stavros was raised in Tehran. And I know you don’t always enjoy it. But I would like you to pray for Iran in Farsi and then pray for our offering. I know, I know. And I know Stavros, he’s not going to pray for governments to have the answer. But he will pray for God. God has the answer. We need God, we need God, body of Christ, family of God. We must put God before the government of man. We need the government of God. We need the government of God. So, when you finish praying for Iran, pray for the offering. All right.

Stavros – Prayer for Iran in Farsi and for the offering in Greek.
24. Amen. Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus. You always are good. You continue to show us your love. At this moment, Lord. We want to worship you in a different way. We want to worship with our tithe and offering, Lord. Please help us to do it from our heart. With open hearts for you, Lord. Lord, from that which you have given us first, we want to give back to you. We do it with our hearts, O God. Use it for your glory, O Lord. We thank you, Lord, for everything. For everything, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Gail – Offering
25. Would you give your offerings and tithe to the Lord now? We praise the Lord. We praise the Lord. Our offering is always a worship time, too. We don’t want to thank the Lord for Elpida. Are you doing children’s church today? Najish is doing our children’s church today. So, for all the children that we have here, we want to release them and Najish, if you want to go upstairs.
26. Praise God. Let’s pray, you know, our children, we have a difficulty with them being able to be stable in church. Philip, we love you, Philip. We’re glad you’re here. Anastasia, Christina, we’re glad you’re here, sweetie. We’re so glad. Even if it’s one or two, I grew up in a tiny, tiny church. There were only, I think, three of us. But look where I am today. Yeah, amen. Praise God. So, we’re just keep believing for our children’s ministry.
27. And while I’m here, Stavros and George Ioannou was there and Eleni, and I think Marina is going to help. Friday night they had a youth meeting, young people. And so, this Friday night, what time? 6:30. The church will be open for our young people. Boy, is that cool? Boys and girls, you can come together.
28. I want you to remind you that, and Eric will just go through the slides. This is the year of prayer. It was last year. And we will be having care groups. They will be starting very soon. As of actually, stay there for a second, Eric. For those of you that are already leading, Henneke, Evy, Anton, I think they’re Leto, Samantha. Take notes today. We’re not going to give you notes this time. Laura and Ryan, take notes so that you own the word today and you can give it back to your group. All right. I think that’s going to be a really good way today. Praise God. And so, this week, feel free to begin your groups, please.
29. Joseph’s Cupboard. Remember, we have people that drop in all through the week. And come answer, please. They need food. And remember, don’t bring the crust cans or the dented cans. No, no, no. Don’t bring the expired macaroni. Oh, no, no, no. We want to give it to you. And let it be good. Amen. So please don’t forget. Amen.
30. I hope you’re reading every day. I am posting a thought for our 21 days of Pray and fasting. I recorded in Greek if you saw it. Please, every day there will be a little thought on there for you. Again, fast as you would like, but let it be a sacrifice unto the Lord that he’s first.
31. Do I have something else, Mr. Eric? Prayer time is this Friday night. I mean, Wednesday night at 7 p.m. 7 p.m. And we actually had a guest visitor just come in from the American College. We’re so excited. We’re glad you’re here today. And you never know who’s going to come for prayer. It was a blessing for us and for her.
32. Jesus is the answer. Mr. Eric, is that everything? I think that’s everything. Today was a… I couldn’t get my gate closed to my house. So, it was 20 minutes late. We couldn’t get that. I mean, it was just one of those days. But that’s okay. We’re here. We’re together. And it’s good. Amen.
33. And I’ll invite you to turn to somebody and say, ‘I love you with the love of the Lord.’ And smile when you do it! I always think it’s strange when somebody says to you, ‘I love you with the love of the Lord,’ and they look like a prune face. That doesn’t make sense. That doesn’t make sense to me.

Pastor Gail – Main Message
34. Can you just pray for yourself for this moment? Lord, you’re faithful. And I give you this need right now. You’ve promised. You’re very faithful to answer as it glorifies you. Oh Lord, we believe, we believe in the name of Jesus. All of the impossibles we give to you. You are the God of the impossible. In the name of Jesus. Amen, amen, amen, amen. Greet someone as you sit down. Greet someone, hallelujah. Thank you, Eric. Thank you very much, Mr. Eric and Lars. Let’s go. Praise God.
35. I may just kind of talk through my sermon, because I want your attention to stay here. And I know sometimes when sermons get too long, your mind wanders. The passage we’re going to look at today is actually, one of my favorite stories in the Old Testament.
36. It’s about a woman who assumed debts that were not hers. And this year as we move forward into the new year, we need to release things that are holding us back, debts that are holding us back that are not ours. Sometimes we take things onto our life that belong to other people. Let them go if somebody else is not yours.
37. But for each one of us, the promise of the Lord is stated very clearly in Ephesians 3. And I believe there’s Bibles around the room, if you also would like to have a Bible. Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever.”
38. We are one of those generations, and the Lord is able to do even more than we can imagine. And we give him the glory and declare today that his power is at work in us, and we want him to have his way. Amen.
39. I did not make any New Year’s resolutions for this year. I don’t know if you did. Can you go to the next one? But instead, is there not a picture on there? It’s not showing a picture. That’s all I know. Oh, there’s no picture of a light bulb? All right, it’s okay. No, that’s the last one. We can read it. That’s all right. I want to thank Lars and Eric so much. That’s toward the end, too. We’re way up at the beginning. Again, don’t worry if we’re out of… There we go. Okay. Yes.
40. See, all the light bulbs are out and there’s one light bulb lit up. And I believe, as we said last week, we need a spirit of expectancy. Yes. A spirit of expectancy. Amen. Not that we have expectations, but we have expectancy. We touched on this a little bit last week. And those words are similar, expectancy and expectation.
41. But ‘expectations’ is usually a word that you are rigid. This is going to happen. I expect you to be good today. It’s the belief that things are going to happen in a certain way. But ‘expectancy’, it allows God to move in his way and his time. And this year, we believe, we believe, we believe as we pray and begin this year with prayer and fasting and continue to pray. That God, the power and the presence of God is going to just begin to light up and shine through us.
42. People had expectations of how the Messiah would come. But they missed him. But like Simeon and Anna, who waited, and they didn’t know how he was going to come, they were able to see the Messiah. The Lord met them in expectancy. We must, I don’t know about you, but I know I cannot continue without more of God, more of his power and more of his presence. I cannot. I need more than I have now.
43. When a woman is expecting, she’s going to have a new life. And God wants to do that in the spiritual with us. But when we’re expecting something new from God, it calls us to a new level of maturity. We have to realign our priorities with God. When people are going to have a baby, where are we going to put the crib? Where are we going to put this baby? We only have our bedroom. The baby’s going to sleep on our room. We’ve got to make room for this baby. We’ve got to make room for our schedule. Oh no, it’s going to be crying in the night. And I have to work. How am I going to do all this?
44. And God is wanting us to have an expectancy that things are going to change. I don’t know how they’re going to change, but I want to give him my schedule. I want to give him the way I think. Amen. I want to make room in my life for whatever new thing God wants to do. Go to the next slide. God wants to begin to flow and pour out to us. There, that’s what I need.
45. Very quickly today, I want to give you six steps to receive an infilling that will pour out of you. We read earlier the Scripture in Ephesians, “Now to him who is able.”
46. Number one, we must look to God. Guess what? I know you’re all great. But none of you can do impossible things. If you all tell me that you could jump 30 meters right now, I would tell you you’re a liar. But if God wanted you to jump 30 meters, he would just lift you up. Amen.
47. But God can do the impossible. He wants to begin to fill us up with faith for the impossible to fill us, to fill us. That it will pour out of us. And others who are in desperate situations. They don’t even believe in God. But they have needs. And they will see us full of expectancy for God to do even more than we ask. Amen. Because he is able. Next slide, Eric. Thank you.
48. Now, this is one of my favorite stories. We don’t have time to read it all. But a little background, and I’ll read the scripture here. “The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha. Elisha, your servant, my husband is dead, and you know he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as slaves.”
49. Many Bible scholars believe that this was the wife of the prophet that fed the prophets during the time of King Ahab, and that he went into debt to buy food to feed them. But it wasn’t her debt. And sometimes we take on debts that are not ours, but she was stuck in this situation. And it was desperate. So, she turned to God, and to ask Elisha, call God, find out for me, how can I help this?
50. The thing that’s beautiful about this story is her hardship. And her taking on that debt, you see what God sees when we take on things we don’t need to take on. It positioned her for a miracle. God can do miracles for us that we’re not even necessarily asking for or believing for. God is able when we give him something to work with. And that is who you are. Lord, work through me, fill me and pour out of me.
51. Number two, start counting your blessings and thanking the Lord for them one by one. No, put the next one on. 2 Kings 4:2, “Elisha says to her, how can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house? Your servant has nothing there at all, she said, except a small jar of olive oil.” Her response was, I don’t have anything. And how many times do we say to the Lord, Lord, I don’t have anything to give you. Who am I?
52. Her husband was dead. She was facing a mountain of debt. The creditors are coming to get her sons to pay off her husband’s debt. But God wants to shift her perspective, her viewpoint from the negative to the positive. Go back up one, Eric. How do we do that? Start counting your blessings. Start thanking him one by one. Can any of you think of one blessing today? Can you think of just one? I got out of bed. Sometimes people can’t even think of one.
53. Guess what? You’re breathing. That’s a blessing. And the Lord wants to turn our perspective. No matter how bad your situation, there is something God has given to your life. How do I begin to shift my thinking? For him to fill me and pour out of me? I develop a spirit of thanksgiving.
54. Go down to that slide. “She said to him, oh, all I have is a jar of oil.” Go back up. All I have is a jar of oil. That’s it, Lord. It’s nothing. But instead, what you see. Oh, I found this. I’ve got a jar of oil. I thank you, Lord. It may seem small but thank you. I found a jar of olive oil.
55. That’s how we begin to approach God, who is able. Have expectancy. This is all I have. But you can take it and do even more. That jar of oil represented tangible touchable things, that’s what God can work with. That we can be thankful for.
56. Think of the things that you should be thankful for. I have food on my table. I don’t live in a country full of war. Oh, my goodness. There are so many things. I have a roof over my head. God has given us so much. We need to notice it and be thankful for it. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have everything you need to begin living with greater expectancy this year. When you have Jesus, you have everything. Amen. He’s everything. Let’s go to the next slide, Mr. Eric.
57. Number three, increase your capacity, believing that he’s able to do exceedingly abundantly. 2 Kings 4:3 says, “Elisha said to her, go around, ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.” For this woman to increase her capacity, she had to have something to hold more. Lord, enlarge my heart.
58. I forgot. I wanted to bring down some different vessels of different sizes. Sometimes this is all the expectancy we have. But upstairs, there’s a huge vessel, and we need to say, oh, Lord, make me larger, make my heart larger to receive more of you. But look, first she had to go outside of her area. She had to go to her neighbors. She saw only one jar in her house. There seemed to be no more and more in that house.
59. And sometimes we get very insulated in our church, our church group, in our home. This is all God’s going to do. This is enough. I believe for this much. What a narrow focus. We have got to quit getting insulated. Instead of being happy with the little you have, we’ve got to begin to enlarge our understanding of what can be at God. When you pray, let me believe or let me see what can be, Lord. Expand what you think what you’re capable of doing as God, as you believe God can enlarge you.
60. She went to the neighbor. I wonder if she even went the first day. She might have felt strange. Do you have a jar I can borrow? I don’t even know if they liked each other. Maybe they didn’t like each other. I have a neighbor that doesn’t like me. But if nobody else had jars, maybe I’d go to him, but do you mind if I borrow a jar? I really need it. To enlarge our vision and our capacity, we have to press out. We have to look beyond. And she brought those vessels to her house. The Lord wants to bring more vessels into your life. He wants your life to be full.
61. Because if this is all you ever have of God – it’s OK, it’s OK. But he would really like it to be many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many. Oh, yes. Go get them. Oh, Lord, give me another one. There’s another one right there, right there. I need the vessels. Yes, I’m not happy with three. I want four. I want five. I want my life to be full. Amen. Amen. Get greedy, jealous for all God could give you.
62. Don’t stay confined. This is all I know, and this is just enough. For those of you that are in the business world, you need to make new connections. Believe that God has more connections to enlarge what you do for him. But it takes courage sometimes to get out of our comfort zone.
63. Lord, I’m available. Lord, I want more vessels in my heart. I’m making room for more, for much, much more. We can’t do the miracle. But we’re available for the miracle to flow in and out of us. God wants to pour into Glyfada this year and out of Glyfada this year, but we have to make room for the Lord. The song we sang, ‘I’ve seen you move past tense.’
64. I saw it. We live there too long. But for the Lord to fill us and overflow out of us into this new day, we need the vessels in our life that say, I know you can do it again. You’ll do it again. Fill me, Lord, do it again. More, more, more, more, Lord, do it more, Lord. I saw it, but I want to see more, God. It’s you, Lord, I am available. There’s always room for more of God.
65. There’s a little advertisement for the local church (GCC). We have the standard rule in the church world, is that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. I see heads shaking. And we have Eric and Lars and the worship team up here, Stavros, Cecilia. Evy, we have 20% of the people. But I want to see the Lord break that this year. That it would be 100% of us. Amen.
66. Believe and give the Lord all that we are to see Glyfada and Argiroupoli and Illioupoli and Vula and Vuliagmini reached for the Lord. Amen. So, there’s never a shortage of children’s ministers or youth ministers for home groups, care groups. Or when we have a special event, volunteers. Lord, I’m available. Use me for the more, and these events, the more. Go to the next one, Mr. Eric. Thank you, Mr. Eric. One of the 20%.
67. Second Kings 4. We’ll repeat it 3 & 4. Go back up one. Let me just read those verses together. Go back up one place. And let’s just say, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars and as each is filled, put it to one side.
68. Number four. How to have a year of faithfulness, of overflowing in filling, oh Lord. We must exercise our faithfulness for the more. She went into her house, and she shut the door. She had the jars and she saw God fill them as she had been obedient. There’s no limit with God. The limit is only with us.
69. We need to often shut the door and go boldly to the Lord in prayer. God wants to pour into us. And often, did you know he’s just waiting for you to ask? But you need to get in with him. Spend time with him. And ask him.
70. Matthew 7:7. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
71. Ask of the Lord, he’ll hear, seek, he’ll see you, you’ll find him, he will meet your prayer requests. Sometimes we only see limitation. Sometimes I think we’re scared to ask God for something good. But this is the time for us to spend time with him and ask him for more than we’ve ever asked before.
72. But remember, there is no replacement for those times spent in prayer with the Lord. She shut the door with her sons, asked for the outpouring, and there was a powerful filling of the vessels. The Lord is able to do more than we ask him to do. The jar of the oil represented what God was going to bring forth. God says, if you have faith in me, it expresses to me what I believe you’re going to do, what I can do. Next one, Eric. I think it didn’t come through. That’s all right.
73. Number five, faith and obedience are prerequisites for blessing. We steward the blessings that God gives us. She had to make God first. She had to be obedient. I think she paid off her debts before she went to Disney World. Sometimes we receive the blessing we asked for, but we do something other than we should with it first. I don’t think she bought new shoes first. She paid the debts first. We must learn to steward the blessings of God to live the blessed life.
74. Today, let me ask you this question. If you really receive from the Lord what you prayed for, would you steward it for God? What if God suddenly begin to send new people into this church that give them their lives, give them their lives? They begin to believe and become followers of Jesus Christ. Would you be willing to help disciples give of your time, new believers? As we have faith and we steward that faith as God answers, we will see Him do the impossible. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
75. Number Six, and I don’t know what we have up there, but it’s okay, raise your sons. That’s a picture of me praying for kids, young people. This was at a conference here in Europe where we were praying for the younger generation in Europe to be released to live for God. The enemy can speak over our young people that they are going to be slaves to culture or slaves to the internet, slaves to social media. But we have to believe that as the Lord pours into us, fills us and we pour out, that this generation right now, a younger generation, are going to recognize they don’t have the answers, they are empty, and God can fill them up in a way they’ve never known.
76. I put the last slide up. I think Eric is the last one, I think. I love what Hudson Taylor said, a missionary 150 years ago, maybe longer, 200 years ago. ‘Attempt great things for God, but expect great things from God.’ I like this. We have our part to play. Hudson said that. Do great things, try. Sometimes you’re going to fail. Thank God sometimes he lets you fail. Because it might not have been the right thing you were trying to do. And he stopped you before you messed up things.
77. I like that a lot. And we may not know it in the moment, but looking back, we’ll see the love of God was always there at work. But if we will show him our faith for him to do great things, then we can expect great things from God.
78. I believe that the Lord wants us to see all of those light bulbs lit up, not just the one. I believe the Lord wants to see Glyfada and all the areas around here, a light overflowing with the love and presence of God. Listen, if God can bring revival to Wales, and if you don’t know about it, go home and read about it.
79. Let me tell you about this. Two little ancient women in their 90s. One was blind, I think. Was the other one deaf or were they both blind? I can’t remember. At least one was blind. And they were really old. And they got really discouraged.
80. God, where’s our young people? They began to pray. Lord, we’re going to pray. We’re going to pray. We pour our prayers out on you, God. We pour our prayers out on you, God. And as we do, you’re going to begin to fill this place with something miraculous. You’re going to fill it with answers. You’re going to fill it with answers.
81. God spoke to another guy a hundred miles away. He came and said, I’m coming to preach revival, basically. Beautiful story short. God sent a revival. Considered one of the greatest revivals of modern time. It was so powerful, even all the bars closed down. Nobody went drinking anymore. And I’m not saying anything. If you drink wine, that’s not what I’m saying. They wanted to be holy.
82. They just did that. It was great. God did that. Because two little ladies gave their vessels to the Lord. They went into the secret place. And they said, ‘God, we can’t do it. But you can. But you can. And we believe you will. We believe you will.’ Amen. Amen.
83. So that means we can’t just come to church. Sit on the chair. It was a nice word. Amen. I believe. OK, so when are you going to bring somebody? I’m too busy to bring anybody. I don’t have time to help at church. But I’m glad you do. Bravo! Bravo!
84. It’s about each one of us. Each one of us. God, I’m going to knock on my neighbor’s door next door. He hates me. It’s true, too. He does. Everybody knows this. I pray every time I go out and hang up laundry. Because he’s going to open the window and curse at me. But the Lord keeps telling me. Because I’m praying for him. Have courage. Have courage. I’m with you.
85. So, I’m asking him for the courage to knock on the door and invite him to church. But he may not come. But I’m going to do my part. I’m going to attempt it. I’m going to expect God to do the rest. Amen.
86. Victor’s going to sing, but I’m going to ask you one more time. Last week I asked everybody when they would raise their hands who would pray five minutes a day. Did you? How many did? At least five minutes. Thank you. Good. OK, thank you. No liars. I see.
87. I see. If you, did it, you raised your hand. I challenge you again this week. Just begin with five minutes. Every day. Five minutes. And you will love it so much it’s going to grow. And you’re going to see the greatness of God. Amen.
