Gifted – The Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Pastor Brian – Welcome
1. We do want to welcome all of you. We want to welcome those out there by camera. I want to go ahead and greet you for Pastor Gail, she’s still in the States ministering this morning. Actually, she had a conference in Italy and then flew straight to the States and she’ll be back later this week. Pray for her, they’re having a great time, I heard. She’s actually ministering at a women’s conference right now. They said they had about 1,500 women there. And from what I understand, the Lord has already met with them powerfully the last couple of days. So, I’m sure she’ll come home with lots of stories.
2. I bring you special greetings this morning from the church in Cairo where I was the last couple of days. We had a wonderful time there. You can be seated for a moment, I’m sorry. Normally, people just sit down on me anyway. We had… Well, I was only in one of the services on Friday. It’s a Muslim country; they do their big church services on Friday. The church had four services; I was only in the first one. We had a wonderful time there.
3. But then after we visitors went to lunch, they started their second service. And evidently, the Holy Spirit just decided to visit them powerfully. This is a spirit-empowered, spirit-filled Presbyterian church. And they had about 1,500 young people just on their face before the Lord. And then they had two more services after that.
4. So, I met with their pastor at about close to midnight on Friday night when he finally got out of church and came to visit the hotel. And he was just excited for what God is doing there. And so, we just thank God for that.
5. Prior to that, I was blessed to spend three days at the, I don’t know how you can actually describe it, at the compound of the Coptic Orthodox Pope. With Orthodox and Evangelical leaders from all around the world. I think there were about 60 of us there. Just talking about how we can all love the Lord side by side. And how we can see, if not denominational convergence, greater relational convergence in the Kingdom of God. We’d have to look that one up. The different categories. And it’s just good when brothers can dwell together in unity. So, I was grateful for that time.
6. You can go to our EME ministries social media, Instagram, Facebook, and see pictures if you want to. I’m not going to. Or you can go to my page, see my handsome face. But we want you guys to feel that you are a part of an extension of what we are doing. Because I will tell you, we don’t go without the prayers of our family. And the people from this church who go out into various ministries every week, they can’t go without the prayers of the family.
7. And you, as you walk into your workplaces and among your family and friends, you cannot go as successfully without the prayers of your family. So, pray for one another. Amen? In fact, why don’t we just stand and do that right now? If you’re comfortable, just put your hand on the shoulder on somebody in front of you or beside you. I don’t know, I feel like embarrassing somebody this morning. Brian, would you come up and just lead us in a prayer today?
Brian
8. Lord, we thank you. Lord, we thank you. We thank you for everything that you do for us. We thank you for providing for us every day. Thank you for all the things that we don’t even know that you do for us. Lord, I just pray that you help us today to just put our whole faith in you, that we can just rely on you and nobody else, not any kind of earthly wisdom, not any kind of preconceptions of what we think we need to do, that we only focus on you and what your will for our life is. Lord, I pray that as we go throughout this week, Lord, that you could just guide our steps and lead us into opportunities to share about you and to just fulfill our purpose here. Lord, we thank you for everything. We thank you for the life-giving blood that you shed for us on the cross, and we just love you. It’s in your name that we pray. Amen.
Pastor Brian – Prayer, Announcements
9. Lord, we just lift our hearts to you today. We declare among us that you actually do deserve all of the glory. I ask you, Holy Spirit, just rest on us in that place right now. The Scripture says that deep cries out to deep. Lord, I pray that from the depths of our hearts right now, that in the most precious of ways, and in the most joyous of ways, the most thankful of ways, we declare that you deserve the glory. You are great, O Lord. And we worship you. We worship you, Lord.
10. Holy Spirit, free us today. From all of the concerns of life, Lord, for these moments. Free us today so that we can find grace in you. Lord, that we will find strength in you to face that which comes next. You are with us, and you are here, moving in our midst. We worship you, Lord. We declare you worthy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
11. You can be seated. Well, once again, for those who came in after, I welcome you. We’re going to get ready to go ahead and take our offering this morning. Remembering that this also is an act of worship. We don’t ask any person to give to the church. We’re not even really asking you to give to the ministry. But we’re asking you to give to the Lord. That which he puts on your heart. We want to bless those who bring their tithe to the house this morning. And we want to bless those who give. But our blessing is not important. It’s the blessing of God that sits on you. And he is good. He is good. Amen.
12. All right; you guys can go ahead and go on out. And as you do, I’ll give some announcements. As always, don’t forget our Wednesday night prayer and Bible study. We start at seven o’clock. We would love to see as many of you that can be here to be here. If you can’t, you can join us online, by Zoom. We have not been putting these openly on the YouTube page or the Facebook page. Because that allows us to speak a little more intimately. And to pray without having to be too cautious about what goes out over the Internet. If you don’t know how to join that, we do send it out on the WhatsApp group. Just ask us. And we will help you with that.
13. Other than that, we don’t have a lot to announce. We’re back again here next Sunday. Today’s the ninth, right? Yes. Okay, so yeah, we still, and then we have two Sundays. We have two Sundays. Until the 26th. Is my math, right? Sixteen and seven is 23. So, I believe it’s Sunday the 23rd. We are going to be celebrating something together.
14. I don’t know how, but somehow, it’s caught on that we do Thanksgiving together. You’re raising your hand for a reason. Is it the 30th? Okay, I don’t have the list in front of me. Oh. You can’t make me look for stuff. Let’s see, we’re past all of those. Okay, so it is Sunday the 30th. And so that would be a good Sunday to bring somebody with you. We understand it’s an American tradition.
15. But somehow, it’s just become our chance to give thanks together. It’s become odd, I have friends all around the world who now celebrate Thanksgiving. But I guess if you’re going to adopt a holiday, that’s a good one. You don’t have to do it on the same day. Just give thanks.
16. We will also be starting on that Sunday our Advent season. Who can believe that? So, we will begin marching toward Christmas. How many of you have friends on social media who have already started decorating their homes for Christmas? Feel free to go on their page and rebuke them.
17. I literally have friends who started decorating more than a month ago. It’s good to be excited about the coming of the Lord. But it’s not about the decorations. It’s the preparation of the heart. So, join us each week for our Advent Sundays and we will be reminding ourselves. We’re going to do like John the Baptist and prepare the way of the Lord.
18. And finally, don’t forget that every Tuesday, Tuesday through Thursday, Friday. Anyway, it’s either Tuesday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Where’s Rebecca? It’s a Friday? I’ve been gone too much. Every Tuesday through Friday, we open the church at 10 o’clock in the morning. And you are welcome to join us for prayer. What is the most important thing that you have to do? Come for as little time or as much time as you would like to spend.
19. If you don’t have time, you have to spend time with the Lord. We are still in our year of prayer. And I have a feeling that’s going to keep extending. Because without prayer… Guys, without prayer… We’re just not going to go very far. But with the Lord and His guidance, what can stand against us. Amen? Say it louder. Amen. Thank you.
20. Children, let’s make them come up here and be seen today. If they need a parent or guardian, just bring them on up here. I don’t know if they’re afraid of me or of you. Or both. Rebecca. Please, can we pray for the children?
Rebecca – Pray for the Children
21. Can we stretch out our hearts? Father, Lord, we thank You for today. We thank You for Your grace. We thank You for this gift. We bless the children today, Lord. May Your light continue to shine upon them. May Your grace continue to be upon them. May Your favor continue to be upon them, Lord. May Your divine intervention continue to be upon them. They will be the light of this world, Lord. Wherever they go, they will shine. Father, may You continue to protect them with the blood of Jesus. Whatever the enemy will try to attack them will never be succeeded. Your will in their life, all that will be established. We bless You for loving them, Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Pastor Brian – Main Message
22. Turn with me in your Bibles to 1 Corinthians 12. Amen. Thank you, Lord, that you are our way-maker, that you are the giver of gifts, that inspire us and move us and motivate us, Lord, that allow us to see the supernatural in our lives, and in the world around us. Feed us with your word, Lord. Lord, I truly pray that what we speak about today, Lord, that it will go deeply and find great roots, find great seeds in our hearts. Because, Lord, we realize we need you. We need you to lead the way. And we need you to make the way. And we give you glory for it. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Thank you.
23. Today we’re going to be talking about the Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We’ve already spoken in past Sundays about the Ministry Gifts. Ephesians 4. God gave us apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers. Now, most of you have heard this before, but just as a reminder.
24. You can think of those five like your hand. We’ll picture it as the hand of God on the church. He gave some apostles. That’s like your thumb. Because it’s foundational. It’s hard to do much without a thumb. That’s what makes our species special. Among others is that we have an opposable thumb. And it touches all of the other fingers quite easily. So that’s your apostle.
25. The prophet we think of as the pointer finger. The one who’s always saying, Thus saith the Lord. And bringing the recognition of God’s voice into whatever is happening. So, he might say, hey, Judy, hear the voice of God.
26. We think of the pastor as the middle finger. Sorry, the evangelist as the middle finger. Because it’s the longest one. It reaches out the furthest. At least for most of us, it’s the longest one.
27. We think of this finger as the pastor. Because it’s the finger we put the ring on. The pastor is the one who loves the flock. And shepherds them. And cares for them. Till death do us part. Some of the others may not last that long, but the pastor will stick with you.
28. And then the last one, the little one is the teacher. Not because it’s the least important, but because it’s the easiest one to get inside your ear. The teacher gets the information in there.
29. So, God gave us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. So, we talked about the ministry gifts. Then we talked about the motivational gifts. Romans 12. The Greek word there is the word for energy. These are the words, the gifts that energize you into your ministry. So, Paul says, are you an administrator? Are you a giver? Are you motivated by giving? Then give. Do you enjoy serving? Then serve. Teaching then teach.
30. But whatever it is that the Holy Spirit has birthed in you to motivate your ministry, sees on that. And put it into practice. I had somebody a couple of weeks ago say, you know, I feel like I’m a teacher, but I don’t really like to be in front of people and I don’t have a platform. I said, well, can you have coffee? Find one or two people, learn the word, and share the word with them. If your gift is your gift, use your gift. And don’t wait for churches to make platforms for you to do it. Use your gift.
31. And I don’t know that that’s a complete list. I could think of a lot of things. If your gift is to sing, sing. If your gift is an intercessory prayer, pray. But use your gift to the benefit of the body of Christ.
32. And then today we’re going to talk about the Manifestation Gifts. These are gifts that the Word tells us. We’ll read it in a minute. That the Lord distributes these gifts to the church as He wills. So, let’s go ahead and look at 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, “Now to each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one, there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit. To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit. To another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one just as He determines.”
33. Now I want to start today with this very important understanding. These are not theological concepts. What we’re going to talk about today are not things out there somewhere to be believed in. These are things to be lived in and to be lived out through us. Because they are the living, breathing expressions of God’s power working through His people.
34. A lot of times we feel like church is just religion. It’s stuff that we go and do, stuff we believe in. But we don’t need just simple belief, we need the experience of the presence of God. God is a living being. He is life, and in Him is life. And we should be experiencing that living breath of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
35. Paul said that to each one is given the Manifestation of the Spirit. So, who is excluded from the term each one? No one. Each one is everyone. And every one of you is an each one. Put your hand on your heart and say, I am one. This includes me.
36. These gifts are the evidence that the Holy Spirit is alive and active in the church. I want to be a part of a living, active church. Because the breath of God is being breathed on us when we gather. Because when I come to your home or you come to my home, the breath of God meets us there. That when you gather with Henneke downtown in her care group, that the breath of God is manifest in that. That when we gather for a dinner on the 30th of this month, that God is living and active and moving in our midst.
37. And what is that livingness for? What does it do? It equips believers to reveal the heart, wisdom, and might of God. Look at that. The gifts are given to reveal the heart. What does God desire? The wisdom of God, this is what we know we should do. This is what should be shared and the power of God to his people and to everyone around them. And right there I’m going to put a parenthesis.
38. These gifts are not just given for us to exercise them in the church when we’re together. But they’re meant to be utilized anywhere that we are. Because wherever we are, the Spirit of God is with us, and we are his body in that place. Some of us go to places to work, and those places need to experience the wisdom of God sometimes. Sometimes the Lord needs to inspire in moments of life with your family. Sometimes you need to hear a word from the Lord in the midst of a circumstance.
39. So, I want you to think of these gifts as going with us everywhere. But especially in our midst. When the Holy Spirit moves, ordinary people become vessels of extraordinary power. I need to say that again. Ordinary people become vessels of extraordinary power. We have the ability to carry divine insight, to receive revelation, to practice supernatural love. These gifts ignite faith. You see a miracle done; it raises your faith. When God speaks a word of revelation and you go, how did you know that? It increases faith. Whatever gift is utilized, they ignite our faith. Or they demonstrate God’s compassion. They do remind us that his Spirit is alive.
40. That like we sang earlier, he’s transforming hearts. That he’s releasing heaven’s power. That he’s breaking bondages. That he’s bringing deliverances. That he’s providing divine guidance. That he’s healing minds and hearts and bodies. That he is active in the earth today.
41. So, I’m going to quickly go through these gifts with you in three categories. The first of these are what we call the revelation gifts. They reveal the mind of God in a given circumstance. The word of wisdom. The word of knowledge. And the discerning of spirits. The word of wisdom is when the Spirit brings heavenly strategy into a situation. Have you ever been in a situation where you just had no idea where to go, what should come next? And the Lord just inspired you or inspired somebody else to share something with you? And all of the sudden your heart just went, yeah, that’s the word of the Lord.
42. Sometimes we don’t know what to do. But the potential is there for God to whisper directly to your Spirit. Or to use you to whisper to another person. Not because of anything special in you, but because the Holy Spirit has chosen to use you.
43. The word of knowledge. Also, it reveals divine insight. Most often revealing something that somebody else didn’t know. I remember my first year as a part of this church. We had a wonderful prophet teacher come.
44. Many of the old timers around here remember Dr. Eldon Wilson. And they always did a unique kind of prophetic ministry. There would be two prophets and the pastor of the church. We set a chair here. Or actually in those days it was there. But we set the chair in front. And somebody who had prayed for the last week or two, who the Lord had shared with the leaders of the church, various people to receive ministry. The Lord chose several people to receive ministry.
45. I was one of them. They sat me in this chair. And this man put his hand on my shoulder. And he started telling me things nobody in this church knew anything about. Things about my family history. Not private harmful things, don’t worry. But the Lord shared through him things I hadn’t spoken about. And that word of knowledge broke something in me. And the Lord released something in me. Because it elevated my faith in that moment to hear. And to receive what God was saying in a different kind of way. Sometimes God needs to break through the noise and just speak truth. It’s important that we have word of knowledge expressed among us. Proving that God knows every detail. I’m only using myself as examples because I can’t share your stories.
46. But just as another very quick example because I want you to see how this works. I had become the pastor of the church here. And I was having a very, very difficult time with something. It was hurting my heart; it was hurting my head. And I begged God every day, literally for months, about this situation. I went to a conference somewhere. And the man who was ministering began praying for people at the front of the auditorium. And as everybody was praying, he all of a sudden just stopped and he walked out. And he stopped right at my chair. He put his hand on my shoulder. He said, that thing you’re fighting, when you go home, it’s gone. It’s done.
47. My heart opened up. I heard God in that word. Now I confess to you, I wasn’t sure if it would be true. But I got home and it was true. And what did that do to my faith then? It said, God knows. And God shares. And God works. And bless God, I can keep going. It’s important that we have word of knowledge among us. Because look at your neighbor and say, you’re just not that smart. Notice I put the word that, you’re not that smart, you’re all smart. But you will never outwork the mind of God.
48. And then there’s the discerning of spirits. Sometimes you need to know when something’s just not right. When something’s being said that just isn’t correct. When lies are being told. Or when the devil’s trying to come as an angel of light. Or when somebody’s just been doing wrong. And hurting other people. We need the discerning of the spirit. Like a special radar that detects what’s really happening.
49. I have so many stories to share, but I don’t have time. God reveals his Word. These gifts pull back the curtain, showing God’s truth, may always be exposed when he chooses to reveal it. We need God to reveal His Word.
50. The second group we call power gifts. God revealing his might. The gift of faith. The gift of healing. The working of miracles. Paul says these things are available to you and through you. Now the gift of faith is not just the normal faith that we have inside of us. Every person has a measure of faith. But there are those times when God says something and a supernatural faith comes into you and you know that you know that God’s going to do something. That you know there’s going to be a supernatural breakthrough. This is a confidence that rises up inside of you. And when everything around says this is impossible, your spirit says it is done. And so, you step out on that.
51. That’s happened to me sometimes. It’s often related to the other two gifts. I remember, we’ve talked about this before, we had a lady who came to church, she was dying of cancer, she was going home with no hope. And I profess I don’t normally have a high degree of individual faith. And so, when the Lord said ‘Lay your hands on her and heal her’, it took about a half a second for a hundred questions to go through my mind. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but.
52. Yet I heard, do it. Do it. And my faith began to rise. Until finally, something in me said, this is going to happen. I prayed for her. She fell to the ground and stood up fully healed. Wasn’t my faith. It was a supernatural faith that fed into a gift of healing that does not live in me. But when the Holy Spirit distributes it to me, or you, it is done. So, the gift of faith, then the gift of healing, the gift of healing displays the mercy of God.
53. When sickness bows its knee to the name of Jesus, sickness of the mind or sickness of the heart. But yes, sickness of the body. When the Lord says, I’m going to heal, we need to see him heal. The world around us needs to see a healing God. And it still exists today.
54. And the working of miracles. When heaven invades earth. And somehow God says, I’m going to stop what’s natural and I’m going to do the supernatural. Because he has limitless authority. Because he has limitless authority. We need to see the working of miracles. For jobs. For the healing of families. For the healing of relationships. For the restoration of things that have been stolen and wounded. We need to see the miracle working power of God. And it exists. And it is available. And it exists for us. And it is available to us. And it can be done through us.
55. I hope you’re getting my point here. Everyone, each one, can experience these things as the Lord determines. These gifts display the power and authority of God through actions that just don’t make sense. Amen.
56. And then we have the vocal gifts. God’s voice being heard. The gift of prophecy Paul speaks of. Prophecy brings the very voice of God to his people. He speaks encouragement. Sometimes correction. Vision for the future. Prophecy is not just proclamation. Sometimes it is. The Lord is saying this about this situation. Sometimes it is pointing to something down the road. Sometimes the Lord does show the way. Or give a glimpse into the future. But let me clarify this.
57. We often talk in this church that we don’t give individual prophecy. So, a little teaching moment here. Somebody comes to you in the church and says I have a word for you. Say wonderful. Let me get one of the church leaders. Or another mature believer. So that we can have the voice of witnesses. That’s just a simple protection. Because sometimes people get in the flesh and just say things. And we don’t need to just hear things; we need to hear God.
58. On the other side of that. If you feel like the Lord gives you a word for somebody. Get that person and say hey, come with me to my care group leader. Or come with me to one of the pastors. I want to share something with you. It’s a protection for the body. It’s not trying to give a strict rule; it’s trying to protect the flock. And God will speak. And it’s important to have that kind of prophetic word.
59. But let me also share this about prophecy that seems to speak of something in the future. Because we do believe God does that. But the reason God gives prophetic word like that. Is not to give you a strict road map. If you’re looking for a road map, you’re going to get really frustrated walking with God. Because more often than not he takes you step by step. One step leads to the other. But you know why God reveals the future? Because when that day comes and his Word is fulfilled, you can look back and say God said it. God did it. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Let me testify of this. And let that testimony raise the faith of the people. Thank you, whoever did that.
60. Don’t look for God to paint you a picture and show you the way. But when God gives you Word, place it in your heart. Testify of it to somebody you trust. And then walk with God until you see that thing fulfilled. And then when it is, get before the church. Get in front of the church. You might need to do a little dance, I don’t know. And just say God said it. God did it. I believe him. That’s the gift of prophecy.
61. And then the gift of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. We believe that tongues are for the individual. There’s a prayer language that the Holy Spirit gives. But here’s the problem with saying a prayer language. People get hung up on the words. The gift of the Spirit individually is given so that you can pray. And that when you do not know what to pray, the Bible says he will pray for you. It’s less about the words and more about what the heart is speaking to the heart of God.
62. People have asked me, why would God do that? Why does God give tongues? This is not Scripture; this is Brian 101. Brian chapter 1 verse 1 of the book of the Holy Spirit. I believe he does it because it’s the hardest thing for us to give over to him. The hardest thing in your body to control is your tongue. It’s hard to stop it. And at times it’s hard to use it. And if God can have access to your tongue, he can steer the rest of the ship.
63. I believe in the personal gift of tongues. I pray in my closet. Sometimes I pray in the church. It’s a gift. It speaks out when I just don’t have adequate things to say. It releases my spirit to talk to the Lord.
64. But then there is also the gift of tongues, like that which was revealed on the day of Pentecost. And what does the Bible say the people said? How is this that we hear in our own language? I’ve had the privilege once that I can remember only once. When I was in a church and in a prayer time, somebody prayed in tongues and somebody else in the church understood exactly what they said because it was in their own language.
65. This person had never learned a word in that language. But God used that gift to speak a word to somebody else who heard it direct from the Lord. How powerful is that?
66. But then the Bible says there’s also the gift of the interpretation of tongues. Now there’s the gift of translation, like my friend here. We’re thankful for that. He’s interpreting my tongue right now into a tongue that some of you can understand better. Thank God for that.
67. But there are times when the Holy Spirit begins to speak and the Spirit comes into the room. And you just know that as somebody prays in tongues, the Lord is speaking. And then we stop and wait on the Lord until somebody begins to say, I believe the Lord is saying, I have been in services where that happened and it broke every resistance in the room. The Bible actually says this gift is given for the unbelievers. I confess, I’m not 100% sure how that works.
68. Now the Bible also says, use it in order. God is a God of order. But He’s also a God of freedom. And there are times that we just need to be free to pray as the Spirit says, pray. And some of us might need to use this gift more, myself included, because I often end with a fuller sense of prayer. In a deeper communion with God. Because He has gifted us. Sometimes God just wants to speak to you, through you, in you, for you, for others. We need to exercise these gifts because we need to hear the voice of God.
69. And here’s where we end. These gifts express the Spirit’s message through speech. They express His power through manifestation. They express His will. They’re given to glorify Jesus. They’re given to build up the saints. And they are given to show that our God is real. That our God is present. And that our God is powerful. And you do not know anybody who does not need to know this. That God is real. That God is present. And that God is powerful. Do you believe that? Yeah, give the Lord a little praise.
70. Because I’ll say it again. When the Holy Spirit moves, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. When the Holy Spirit moves, the natural becomes the supernatural. And when the Holy Spirit moves, the impossible becomes the possible. We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
71. Stand your feet with me. I’m a little bit torn in my spirit today. Because I really want to do something. But I’m not sure how we’ll respond. We don’t call people to the front to pray much anymore. We probably need to do it more. Not because there’s anything special about this space. God can meet you right where you are. But because sometimes we just need to make an expression of faith.
72. So, I’m going to ask you to do something with me today, and I’m going to be the first. In fact, in a moment, I’m going to turn and face the other way. Because that’s going to be my expression of saying to the Lord that what we’re about to pray, I need. I need. I can’t even tell you how much I need right now. But I’m going to ask you if you would join me. And just simply say, I don’t know how or when or where.
73. But if the Lord, Lord, if you want to use me. If you ever want to use me. To express your will. Or to show your power. Or to speak with your voice. You can use me, Lord. If you would make that expression with me today, I’m just going to ask you to move to the front. And as I said, I’m going to. I’m going to turn away from you because this is my expression. And then I’m going to pray for us here in a minute. But I want us to be free in the Holy Spirit this morning.
74. Come and press in and talk to the Lord. Lord, I just wait on you. We need you. Holy Spirit, we need you. If you could use anyone, Lord. Let this be my profession. Let me confess to you. I want you. I need you. And I’m putting myself before you today. Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that you would open my heart this morning. Lord, that you would open each heart this morning. Lord, that you would open up this house in front of you today, Lord. And that, Lord, as a church together, we would say, Lord, we need you. We need you to move in your power. We need to see your gifts manifest, Lord. We need to hear your voice. We need to witness you working in us and in the world. Holy Spirit of God. Reveal to each one. Lord, that each of us can be used. Will be used in all of the gifts.
75. But, Lord, if there is something special that you want to use, what do you want to reveal? Lord, whether it’s ministry or whether it’s one of the gifts that motivates me or, Lord, whether it’s being used to manifest with your gifts. Lord, reveal to me who I am in you. How you desire to use me, Lord. Lord, reveal in me much more often, Lord, speak to me. Lord, show me when I can be used by you. Lord, make me truly, make me an instrument, make me something you can use, Lord. In any of these ways that you choose. I pray that in your name today, Lord. O Holy Spirit of God. Holy Spirit of God, move among us. Holy Spirit of God, rest on us here today. Bring the presence of your spirit in a very special way, Lord Jesus. To show us who we are in you.
76. Benjamin, I just feel like the Lord wants to say to you today. I don’t think we’ve ever had a conversation like this. But I feel like the Lord is saying He’s going to put a boldness in you. You’re not afraid of Him? You’re not afraid to know Him? You’re not afraid for others to know Him? But I believe that the Holy Spirit is saying that today He’s going to take that to a different place. He’s putting a gift in you that you’re going to see manifest more and more. I have an idea, but I can’t tell you. But I believe that you’re going to come back to me within a fairly short amount of time. This is what I heard. And the Lord is going to take that gift. And He’s going to put His touch on that? And He’s going to use you? He has a call on your life. And He’s calling you today. Find it. Find it in Him. And then walk in what He tells you.
77. I’m going to give confirmation to what was just being told to me. I was just about to move back over here and ask us to do something. Because the Lord doesn’t want to make me or anybody else the center of any attention.
78. But I’m going to ask you if you would. Just gather up with one or two or three people. And I’m going to challenge you. Gather with somebody you don’t really know or you don’t normally go to. And I’m just going to ask you to pray for one another, what I have just prayed, and then ask the Lord, ‘Lord, if there is something You want to say, or if there is something You want to do, use me, use us, to do that now. Because, as He releases His Spirit in us, He’s going to begin to work through us. And that’s what we need to see. Amen? So, go ahead and just gather up, if you don’t mind.
