The Word of God in 1 CORINTHIANS 1: 20-24 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Ο Λόγος του Θεού ΠΡΟΣ ΚΟΡΙΝΘΙΟΥΣ Α΄‬ ‭1‬:‭ 20-24 Πού, λοιπόν, να βρεθεί σοφός; πού να βρεθεί έμπειρος στις Γραφές; πού να βρεθεί απολογητής αυτού εδώ του αιώνα; Ο Θεός απέδειξε πως η σοφία αυτού του κόσμου είναι μωρία. Πράγματι, επειδή οι άνθρωποι δεν μπόρεσαν με τη σοφία τους ν’ αναγνωρίσουν τον αληθινό Θεό μέσα στα δημιουργήματά του, που φανερώνουν τη σοφία του, ο Θεός ευδόκησε να σώσει με τη μωρία του κηρύγματος από τον τελικό όλεθρο εκείνους που θα πιστέψουν. Οι Ιουδαίοι ζητούν ως αποδείξεις θαύματα και οι εθνικοί φιλοσοφικές αλήθειες. Εμείς όμως κηρύττουμε το σωτήρα Χριστό, και μάλιστα σταυρωμένον –ένα κήρυγμα προσβλητικό για τους Ιουδαίους κι ανόητο για τους εθνικούς· γι’ αυτούς όμως που κάλεσε ο Θεός, Ιουδαίους και εθνικούς, ο Χριστός που κηρύττουμε είναι του Θεού η δύναμη και του Θεού η σοφία.کلام خداوند در اول قرنتیان ۲۴-۲۰ :۱ پس كجاست حكیم؟ كجاست دانشور؟ و یا كجاست بحث‌كنندهٔ این جهان؟ خدا نشان داده است، كه حكمت این جهان پوچ و بی‌معنی است. خدا در حكمت خویش چنین مقرّر فرمود كه جهانیان نتوانند با حكمت خود او را بشناسند بلكه صلاح دانست كه به وسیلهٔ همین پیام پوچ و بی‌معنی ما، ایمانداران را نجات بخشد. یهودیان خواستار معجزات هستند و یونانیان دانش و حكمت را دنبال می‌کنند، امّا ما مسیح مصلوب شده را اعلام می‌کنیم، اگر چه این موضوع برای یهودیان سبب لغزش و رنجش و برای یونانیان پوچ و بی‌معنی است، امّا برای کسانی‌که خدا آنها را دعوت كرده است خواه یهود، خواه یونانی مسیح قدرت خدا و حكمت اوست، ...
