The Power of His Love: After Jesus’ death and r

The Power of His Love:
After Jesus’ death and resurrection, He appeared to His disciples and showed them the scars in His hands and side (John 20:20). Thomas wasn’t there, so he doubted the news (v. 25). Jesus returned and told him to touch His scars and not “be faithless any longer” (v. 27). His doubts gone, Thomas responded, “My Lord and my God!” (v. 28).
Jesus died to take our sins away. His scars identify Him as the Lamb who was slain for us (Revelation 5:6)!
We can believe and rejoice and be filled with hope, for one day He’ll hold us in His nail-scarred hands. –
What emotional or mental wounds do you still bear? How have you experienced healing through Jesus?
Dear Jesus, thank You for being scarred for me. Help me to rejoice in You.

Η Δύναμη της Αγάπης Του:
Μετά το θάνατο και την ανάσταση του Ιησού, εμφανίστηκε στους μαθητές Του και τους έδειξε τα σημάδια στα χέρια και στα πλευρά Του (Ιωάννης 20:20). Ο Θωμάς δεν ήταν εκεί, οπότε αμφέβαλλε για τα νέα (εδ. 25). Ο Ιησούς επέστρεψε και του είπε να αγγίξει τα σημάδια Του και να μην «είναι πια άπιστος» (εδ. 27). Οι αμφιβολίες του εξαφανίστηκαν, ο Τόμας απάντησε: «Κύριέ μου και Θεέ μου!» (στ. 28).
Ο Ιησούς πέθανε για να αφαιρέσει τις αμαρτίες μας. Τα σημάδια του Τον προσδιορίζουν ως το Αρνί που σφαγιάστηκε για εμάς (Αποκάλυψη 5:6)! Μπορούμε να πιστέψουμε και να χαρούμε και να γεμίσουμε ελπίδα, γιατί μια μέρα θα μας κρατήσει στα χέρια Του με τα σημάδια των νυχιών. –
Ποιες συναισθηματικές ή ψυχικές πληγές κουβαλάτε ακόμα; Πώς βιώσατε τη θεραπεία μέσω του Ιησού;
Αγαπητέ Ιησού, σε ευχαριστώ που με τραυμάτισες. Βοήθησέ με να σε χαρώ.

Mika, coming from a family of generational, Finnish missionaries, was born in Singapore in 1971. Mika spent his childhood exploring the jungles and rivers of Indonesia living on a gospel ship called Ebenezer while his parents reached the people of Indonesia with the gospel message wrapped in love. Mika has lived an internationally focused life for as long as he can remember, including formerly pastoring and leading the Pentecostal Churches of Finland. #gcctogether
